Writing On Blackboard
Lower School
Upper School

The educational philosophy for the elementary years at OMA finds its origin in Charlotte Mason. "A relational education is an adapting education, sensitive to the needs of particular students, parents, teachers and communities. A relational education is filled with books, experiences, nature and ideas. Where the child is viewed as a person and the teacher as one who cooperates with God." Charlotte Mason

Including the "feast of ideas" used in the lower school, the format for the upper school philosophy transitions into a classical education model. The student will seek God through discovering truth by examining opposing opinions and contradictions through the lens of a Christian world view. The Socratic method, analysis, logic and debate are all aspects of the student's upper school expereince.
